Development of Production Infrastructure (DPI) scheme

The DPI Scheme supports coir production units by providing financial assistance to set up modern production infrastructure and upgrade existing facilities. It helps improve product quality, increase productivity, and create rural employment, especially for women.

Financial Assistance Under the DPI Scheme
Eligibility for DPI Scheme
You are eligible if:
- Your coir processing unit is registered with the Coir Board under Coir Industry (Registration) Rules 2008 and the District Industries Centre (DIC).
- Your project cost exceeds ₹5 lakhs
- You apply within 6 months from the start of production with a certificate from the DIC General Manager.
You are not eligible if:
- Your unit is unregistered with the Coir Board or DIC.
- The application is delayed beyond 6 months from production start.

- Application form in the prescribed format.
- Coir Board and DIC registration certificates.
- Certificate of commencement of production from DIC.
- Project cost estimates and quotes for machinery.
- Bank details and identity proofs.
