This mission aligns with "Make in India" and "Atmanirbhar Bharat" to make India a global manufacturing hub.
In this scheme:
If you're running an MSME, you’ve likely faced high costs, tough competition, and limited access to technology. The National Manufacturing Mission, launched in 2025, is designed to ease these challenges. It aims to make your business more competitive, lower operational hurdles, give you access to modern tech, and open doors to new markets, especially if you work in sectors like the renewable energy sector such as solar PV modules, EV batteries, wind turbines and labour intensive sector such as Toys, Leather, Footwear etc.
The National Manufacturing Mission was announced in the Union Budget 2025 and is planned to launch officially in June 2025. It is designed to advance India’s manufacturing sector by providing policy support, a governance framework, and coordinating efforts between central and state governments. The mission focuses on strengthening MSMEs to integrate them better into global supply chains and increase manufacturing’s contribution from about 16-17% of GDP to 25% by 2047.
