Eligibility Criteria for the PMKVY Scheme

Eligibility

  • You must be an Indian citizen.
  • Your age should be between 15 and 45 years and 18 to 59 for RPL 
  • You can be an unemployed youth or a school/college dropout (ideal for your new recruits).
  • Must possess an Aadhaar card and a bank account.
  • Previous formal education is not mandatory, making this ideal for both yourself and any worker, regardless of academic background.

Non-eligibility

  • Already employed persons not seeking upskilling or certification.
  • Foreign citizens and NRIs.
  • If you are already certified under PMKVY for the desired skill/domain, you cannot repeat the same course.
  • Candidates enrolled for courses below their previous NSQF skill level in the same sector.

How to Apply for the PMKVY Scheme

Step 1: Visit the official Skill India Digital portal or any accredited PMKVY training centre.
