Banglashree for MSMEs - Subsidy for State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) is a Government of West Bengal incentive under the Department of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Textiles, notified on 22 July 2020, and effective from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2025.
The scheme aims to reduce the tax burden on MSMEs by refunding a portion of the Net SGST paid on goods manufactured and sold within the state. For you as an MSME, this incentive improves cash flow, reduces effective tax outflow, and enhances profitability during the initial years of operation.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Micro, Small or Medium Enterprise (manufacturing sector)
- Must be located in West Bengal
- Must have Udyam / Udyog Aadhaar Registration
- Must have an approved project under Banglashree scheme
- Must be engaged in manufacturing and sale of goods
- Must pay SGST to Government of West Bengal
Additional conditions:
- Proper accounting of SGST payments required
- Certification from Commercial Tax authority required
Non-eligibility conditions:
- Service sector enterprises
- Enterprises not paying SGST
- Unapproved or ineligible projects
