Banglashree for MSMEs – Subsidy for Water Conservation / Environment Compliance (WCS) is a Government of West Bengal incentive under the Department of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Textiles, notified on 22 July 2020, and effective from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2025.
The scheme aims to promote environmentally sustainable practices in MSMEs by providing financial assistance for water conservation and pollution control measures. For you as an MSME, this incentive helps reduce environmental compliance costs while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Micro or Small Enterprise (manufacturing sector)
- Must be located in West Bengal
- Must have Udyam / Udyog Aadhaar Registration
- Must invest in water conservation / pollution control systems
- Must comply with environmental regulations
Additional conditions:
- Investment must be related to approved environmental measures
- Proper documentation of expenditure required

- Medium enterprises
- Non-manufacturing units
- Projects without environmental relevance
