Chanakya Swayam Upadhi Scheme for Micro Entrepreneurship - Transport Operator
Chanakya Swayam Upadhi Scheme for Micro Entrepreneurship - Transport Operator (CS-METO) is a Government of Andhra Pradesh initiative implemented through the Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation (APBWC) for the financial year 2022-23.
The scheme aims to provide self-employment opportunities to unemployed Brahmin youth by offering financial assistance to purchase four-wheeler vehicles for commercial transport purposes. For you as a micro entrepreneur, this scheme helps you start a transport business with subsidy support and structured financing.
Key Features
- Self-employment promotion: The scheme enables unemployed youth to become transport operators by owning and operating their own vehicle, creating a sustainable livelihood.
- Subsidy-based vehicle financing: A portion of the vehicle cost is subsidised by the government, reducing financial burden.
- Loan support through cooperative society: Remaining cost is financed through a structured loan system, making it easier to afford the vehicle.
- Focus on economically weaker sections: Only applicants from low-income Brahmin families are eligible, ensuring targeted support.
- State-wide implementation: The scheme is implemented across all districts with allocation targets.
