Indira Mahila Shakti Udyam Protsahan Yojana
The Indira Mahila Shakti Udyam Protsahan Yojana is a scheme of the Government of Rajasthan through the Department of Women & Child Development. The purpose of the scheme is to empower women entrepreneurs in the state by providing credit assistance and subsidy support so that they can start or expand enterprises in manufacturing, services, trade, agribusiness, etc. The benefit to your business is that, if you are a woman residing in Rajasthan and want to start a business or expand one, you may access loans up to large amounts plus a subsidy component which reduces your cost of credit.
Key Features
- The scheme being described as the largest loan-grant for women & SHGs in Rajasthan emphasises its broad scale and ambition to benefit from a major state-level push.
- Loan up to ₹50 lakh for individual women or SHGs: This provides a high ceiling of credit for serious business ventures by women (rather than very small micro-loans).
- Loan up to ₹1 crore for clusters/federations of SHGs: This invites collective/group entrepreneurial ventures and federated business models by women.
- Subsidy of 25% (or 30% for special categories) reduces the effective cost of credit for you. For example, if a loan of ₹40 lakh is sanctioned, you get 25% of it (₹10 lakh) as subsidy, reducing your burden.
- Sectoral coverage across manufacturing, service, trade, dairy, agro-business means your enterprise type likely qualifies, whether you are manufacturing goods, offering services, doing agro-processing or trading.
- Entire process online with support: Makes it accessible and transparent — you can apply from your district via SSO portal, upload documents, track status digitally.
- Negative list/exclusions ensure clarity on what is not eligible — e.g., land purchase excluded means you cannot use the loan to buy land. Workshop/building allowed up to 20% means you have to keep infrastructure cost within controls.
- Collateral exemption up to ₹10 lakh: For smaller enterprises this reduces upfront security burden; for larger loans, usual banking norms apply.
