For a project costing ₹1 crore, the bank can finance up to ₹80 lakh (80%), while the borrower contributes ₹20 lakh (20%).

Term Loan – Vehicle

Up to 85% (if loan ≤ ₹2 crore)

For purchasing a medical vehicle worth ₹20 lakh, the bank may finance up to ₹17 lakh (85%), with the remaining ₹3 lakh as borrower contribution.

Cash Credit (Working Capital)

Up to 75%

For recurring operational expenses, a cash credit facility may be provided up to 75% of the assessed working capital requirement.

Loans Above ₹2 Crore

Higher margin requirement (e.g., 25%)

For a ₹5 crore project, the borrower may need to contribute ₹1.25 crore (25%), and the bank finances the remaining ₹3.75 crore (75%).

  1. Visit Bank of Maharashtra’s website and navigate to “Loan Scheme for Doctors / MAHADOC / Mahabank Loan for Doctors.”
  2. Fill in the application form with personal, qualification, business plan (clinic/hospital), cost estimates, etc.
  3. Submit required documents (identity, qualification, business plan, financials, property papers, etc.).
  4. Bank will appraise the project, verify creditworthiness, inspect the proposed site if needed.
  5. Once approved, sanction letter issued, disbursement as per the project plan and drawdown schedule.
