Marketing and Publicity Scheme
The Marketing and Publicity Scheme is a Government of Puducherry initiative implemented through the Department of Industries and Commerce / District Industries Centre (DIC). The scheme is designed to promote the sale, visibility, and market access of products manufactured by MSMEs, cottage industries, and handicraft units in the Union Territory.
The primary objective is to strengthen market linkages, branding, and demand generation for local products. For you as an MSME or artisan, this scheme directly improves your sales opportunities, customer reach, and business growth through structured marketing and promotional support.
Key Features
- Sales promotion through rebate: Recognised sales emporia receive rebate incentives to boost product sales and attract customers.
- Exhibition and trade fair participation: The scheme supports participation in exhibitions across India and abroad, helping MSMEs showcase products and expand market reach.
- Buyer–seller meets: Organised events facilitate direct interaction between producers and buyers, improving business opportunities.
- Support for sales infrastructure: Financial assistance is provided for setting up and maintaining sales emporia, improving retail presence.
- Cluster promotion support: Industrial associations and NGOs are supported to promote MSME clusters and collective growth.
