Mukhyamantri Anusuchit Jati / Anusuchit Janjati Udyami Yojana is a flagship entrepreneurship promotion scheme implemented by the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar under the Government of Bihar. The primary objective of this scheme is to encourage first-generation entrepreneurs from SC/ST communities by providing substantial financial assistance for setting up new industries. As an MSME or aspiring entrepreneur from SC/ST category in Bihar, you can receive capital support up to ₹10 lakh, which includes grant and interest-free loan components. The scheme helps you reduce your initial investment burden and enables you to establish a sustainable business.
Key Features
- Financial Assistance up to ₹10 lakh: Under this scheme, you can receive total project support of ₹10 lakh to start your enterprise. This amount can be used for plant, machinery, tools, and other eligible business expenses.
- 50% Grant Component: Out of the sanctioned amount, up to ₹5 lakh is provided as a grant. This portion does not need to be repaid, subject to compliance with scheme conditions.
- 50% Interest-Free Loan: The remaining amount (up to ₹5 lakh) is provided as an interest-free loan. You must repay this as per the repayment schedule fixed by the department.
- New Enterprises Only: The scheme supports establishment of new units only. Existing operational businesses are generally not eligible.
- Training Requirement: Selected beneficiaries must undergo Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) training before financial assistance is released.
