Employer’s EPF contribution reimbursement

Example: If you hire a worker with employer EPF contribution of ₹20,000 in a year, the scheme reimburses the full ₹20,000 for each of the first three years, subject to overall scheme conditions. 

Payroll subsidy for special category hires

~10% of salary cost for eligible employees (women/differently-abled/transgender) for a defined period

Example: For a new manufacturing unit hiring 100 eligible employees whose average annual salary is ₹3,00,000, the subsidy ~10% means ₹30,000 per employee for eligible period (subject to scheme terms).

Option 2: Government Portal / Online Application

  1. Visit the official portal for Tamil Nadu MSME/Industries incentives (e.g., the “Payroll Subsidy” page on MSME Tamil Nadu website). 
  2. Register your enterprise if not already done, and login.
  3. Under the “Incentives” or “Payroll Subsidy” section, select the application form for the payroll subsidy scheme.
  4. Fill out the form with details of the unit, proposed hiring/employees, salary-structure, job creation plan, etc.
  5. Upload required documents.
  6. Submit the application; after sanction and verification of employment and payroll, subsidy will be disbursed as per the scheme’s terms.
