Rajiv Gandhi Swavlamban Rojgar Yojna
Rajiv Gandhi Swavlamban Rojgar Yojna (RGSRY) is implemented by the Delhi Khadi and Village Industries Board (DKVIB) under the Government of NCT of Delhi. The scheme was launched in 2013 with the objective of promoting self-employment among unemployed youth in Delhi by supporting them to establish micro and small enterprises in manufacturing, services, and trade sectors. Through margin money assistance and bank-linked credit support, the scheme aims to reduce unemployment and encourage entrepreneurship within Delhi.
As an MSME or aspiring entrepreneur in Delhi, this scheme can help you access financial support to start your own income-generating activity.
Key Features
- Margin Money Assistance Linked with Bank Loans: Under this scheme, financial support is provided in the form of margin money subsidy. This assistance reduces your upfront capital requirement, as banks provide the main loan and the government supports a portion as subsidy.
- Applicable Only Within Delhi: The scheme is specifically designed for residents of Delhi. Only enterprises to be established within the territorial limits of Delhi are eligible.
- Support for Manufacturing, Service and Trade Activities: The scheme covers a wide range of small business activities including manufacturing units, service enterprises, and trading businesses, giving flexibility to applicants based on their skills and market demand.
- Bank-Financed Project Model: Your project must be bankable and approved by a recognized bank. The subsidy is routed through the bank after loan sanction and compliance with scheme conditions.
- Implementation through DKVIB: The Delhi Khadi and Village Industries Board acts as the nodal agency, scrutinising applications, coordinating with banks, and releasing subsidies as per guidelines.
