Detailed Explanation & Example

Hall/Venue rent for exhibition

50% of the actual hall-rent cost, subject to ceilings

Example: If an MSME association hires a hall in Chennai for an exhibition and pays INR 10 lakh as rent, the reimbursement would be 50% = INR 5 lakh, but since the Chennai cap is INR 7.5 lakh, the full INR 5 lakh can be claimed.

Cap on subsidy per event

Chennai: up to INR 7.5 lakh; Districts: up to INR 1.5 lakh; Other states: up to INR 7.5 lakh

Example: If the association holds the event in a district and pays INR 4 lakh rent, 50% = INR 2 lakh but the district cap is INR 1.5 lakh — so maximum claimable is INR 1.5 lakh.
