Scheme for Awards to MSMEs
The Government of Gujarat’s Scheme for Awards to MSMEs is operated by the Industries & Mines Department, Government of Gujarat under the Gujarat Industrial Policy 2020. The purpose of this scheme is to recognise and reward Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises that have been operating continuously, maintaining statutory compliance and performing well, thereby promoting excellence among units in the state. Key Features
- Recognition of continuous production & compliance – The scheme requires that the enterprise should be in continuous production for a minimum period and have valid statutory clearances/licences.
- Category-based awards – Awards are given to MSMEs under different categories as per the state policy.
- Monetary reward plus trophy & certificate – As per the policy document, each award winner receives a cash award (for example ₹ 2 lakh), along with a trophy and an appreciation letter.
- Annual application & evaluation process – The scheme is structured such that eligible enterprises apply annually, their performance is evaluated, and awards are conferred for that year’s performance.
- Encouragement of best practices & benchmarking – Winning firms are encouraged to adopt best-in-class manufacturing practices, innovation, compliance and competitiveness, motivating peer units to improve.

Eligibility Criteria
Who Can Apply:
- Micro, Small or Medium Enterprises registered under the relevant Act/Policy in Gujarat.
- Units that have been in continuous production for minimum 3 years, as per policy requirement.
- Must have valid statutory clearances and licenses valid at time of award application.
Who Cannot Apply:
- Enterprises under closure, non-operative or not in continuous production for the required period.
- Units that do not hold valid statutory clearances/licenses at the time of application.
- Entities outside Gujarat or not registered as MSMEs under the Gujarat policy framework.
Documents Required
- MSME registration certificate / Udyam Registration certificate.
- Certificate of statutory clearances/licenses .
- A statement of production continuity for at least 3 years .
- Financial statements or turnover data showing performance .
- Application form of the Award scheme.
- Bank details for award disbursement .
- Any additional documents specified in the scheme notification

Option 2: Government Online Submission
- Visit the official MSME/Gujarat state policy portal .
- Locate the “Scheme for Awards to MSMEs” scheme page.
- Download the application form or apply through the portal when the applications are open.
- Upload required documents and fill in details of years of production, performance parameters .
- Submit before the deadline specified in the call for applications.
Option 3: Via District Industries Centre or MSME Facilitation Centre
- Contact your district-level DIC for guidance on award scheme, eligibility and application timeline.
- Submit application through DIC if permitted or obtain support for document compilation.
