Deferment/Remission of statutory dues

Example: Deferment of sales tax arrears for 2 years from sanction date; remission of interest & penalty if paid timely. 

Example: Your unit has ₹10 crore sales tax arrears. Under sanction you get a 2-year deferment, then you may settle in instalments and get interest/penalty waived if you pay within scheme terms.

Electricity duty & power relief

Example: Electricity duty payable deferred for 2 years; during closure minimum charges waived; no fresh security deposit insisted.

Example: Your unit has an outstanding electricity duty of ₹2 crore. Under the scheme you get 2 yrs deferment, then repay in instalments without interest if conditions met.

Continuation of earlier incentives

Units which were closed yet earlier incentives were granted get a waiver of recovery if they resume production and remain viable. 

Example: Your unit earlier had eligibility for state incentive scheme but closed. Under this scheme if you resume production for 5 yrs, you may retain those incentives.

Non-fiscal reliefs 

Relief such as permitting mortgage of exempted land, labour settlement facilitation, relaxation from power cuts.

Example: If your unit has surplus land exempt under Urban Land Ceiling Act, you are allowed to mortgage it for rehabilitation finance under the scheme.

Application Process for the Scheme

Option 1: Apply with Bullit

Option 2: Government Application via Industries Commissionerate

  1. Obtain registration with BIFR/GBIFR as a sick industrial enterprise.
  2. Prepare rehabilitation package/consultancy report demonstrating viability and revival plan.
  3. Submit formal application to the Industries & Mines Department, Gujarat, under the scheme for relief & concessions.
  4. On approval, select appropriate relief option , fulfil revised payment schedule, commence operations as per rehabilitation plan.
  5. Monitor compliance and maintain revival progress as per terms of the assistance.

Option 3: Via District Industries Centre 

  1. Approach your local DIC for initial eligibility check and guidance.
  2. Collect assistance in documentation, application submission, and follow-up coordination with banks and state authorities.
  3. Submit through DIC or electronically  and track clearance.
