Startup Manipur is a flagship entrepreneurship development initiative of the Government of Manipur, implemented through the Planning Department, Government of Manipur. The scheme was originally launched in 2017 and is currently operational under the updated Startup Scheme 2.0 framework as reflected on the official portal. The initiative aims to promote innovation, self employment, and job creation within Manipur by supporting startups at different stages of growth from idea stage to expansion stage. Key Features

Stage Based Structured Support: The scheme divides entrepreneurs into four structured stages namely Idea Stage, Revenue Stage, CMESS Stage, and Stand Up Stage. This ensures that support is provided according to your business maturity level.
Grant Support at Idea Stage: If you are at the concept or prototype stage, you can receive financial grant support up to Rs 3 lakh. This helps validate your idea before entering the market.
Capital Subsidy 30 Percent: Under Revenue Stage and CMESS Stage, eligible entrepreneurs can receive a subsidy of 30 percent of the approved project cost, reducing your effective financial burden.
Bank Linked Financing: Projects are evaluated and forwarded to banks for loan sanction. The government subsidy is linked with bank approved project financing.
Entrepreneurship Development Programme: Selected applicants must undergo training or incubation support. This ensures you gain business planning, financial literacy, and operational knowledge before fund disbursement.
