This Government of India scheme under the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme (NMCP) helps MSMEs increase competitiveness by promoting energy-efficient technologies, product quality certification, and cleaner manufacturing processes. It aims to reduce production costs, improve product standards, and enable MSMEs to meet global market demands sustainably.

Financial Assistance Under the Scheme

Purpose 

Grant 

For Awareness Programmes by Expert Organisation for EET 

 

GOI covers up to 75% of the cost (Maximum limit up to Rs 75,000/- per programme

 

Balance amount to be paid by participants, cluster associations etc 

 

For Conducting Cluster level energy audits & model detailed project reports (DPRs) 

 

GOI covers  up to 75% of the cost (Maximum limit up to Rs 9 lakhs per cluster, 3 such clusters will be selected).

 

Balance amount to be paid by respective selected cluster

 

For DPRs for individual MSME on Energy Efficient Technology (EET) Projects 

 

GOI covers  up to 50% of the cost (Maximum limit up to Rs 1.5 lakh per DPR). 

 

Balance amount to be paid by respective MSME.

 

For Implementing EET projects as per approved DPR

GOI covers up to 25% of the cost (Maximum limit up to Rs 10 lakhs ). 

 

Balance amount is to be funded by loan through SIDBI/banks/Financial institutions. MSME will have to pay some minimum amount as required by the funding agency.

 

For establishing Carbon Credit Aggregation Centres (CCA) to  Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) in MSME Clusters

 

GOI covers up to 75% of the cost (Maximum limit up to Rs 15 lakhs for each centre).

 

Balance amount to be paid by Implementing Agency/Special Purpose Vehicle through collection of user charges

 

For Product Licensing Certification to National/International Standards 

 

GOI covers up to 75% of the cost (Maximum limit up to Rs 1.5 lakh for National standard and Rs 2 lakh for International Standard  per MSME) 

 

For Product Licensing Awareness 

 

GOI covers up to 75% of the cost (Maximum limit up to Rs 45,000 per programme).
