Assistance for acquisition of ISO-9000 series
The “Assistance for Acquisition of ISO-9000 Series” scheme in the State of Rajasthan was introduced to promote and encourage the adoption of a quality management system by Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises in the state. It is implemented via the Rajasthan Financial Corporation under its incentive programmes. The purpose is to strengthen the marketing ability of eligible small-scale units and enable export capabilities by supporting the costs associated with acquiring ISO-9000 series certifications and related quality systems. Your business can benefit by reducing the cost burden of obtaining ISO certification which improves credibility, access to wider markets and competitive advantage.
Key Features
- Operation for at least two years: This requirement ensures your enterprise has a track record of operations and is not a very newly established unit. It means you should have started production or business activities at least two years prior to the application.
- Profit or dividend declared during preceding two years: To qualify, your unit must show financial viability i.e., it should have generated profit and/or paid dividend in the two years before you apply. This gives comfort to the implementing agency about your capacity to repay.
- No default to banks/institutions: Your enterprise should not have any outstanding defaults to banks or financial institutions. This means your credit history needs to be clean.
- Covered expenses (consultancy, documentation, audit, certification fees, equipment & calibrating instruments): The scheme allows you to include all major costs required to acquire ISO-9000 series certification such as engaging consultants, preparing documents/processes, going through audits, paying the certification body fees, and purchasing equipment or calibration instruments required for quality management system compliance.
- Repayment period up to 5 years including moratorium up to 1 year: When the loan is sanctioned, you are given a maximum of five years to repay, and you may get up to one year of moratorium to establish your quality system before repayment begins.
