Freight cost reimbursement

Up to 75% of container-freight cost (for first 2 years)

Example: Your UP garmenting unit exports via container shipping costing ₹ 10 lakh in Year 1. You may claim reimbursement up to ₹ 7.5 lakh (75% of cost).

Reduced reimbursement years

Up to 50% (for years 3-4) and 25% in year 5

Example: In Year 3 your freight cost is ₹ 12 lakh; you may claim up to ₹ 6 lakh (50%). In Year 5, if cost is ₹ 15 lakh, you may claim up to ₹ 3.75 lakh (25%).

Duration of benefit

5 years from start of eligibility

You must start export operations as per policy conditions; then for five consecutive years you can avail the schedule above.

Option 2: Apply via Government Portal

  1. Visit the official portal of the Department of Handloom & Textiles / Invest UP under the Textile & Garmenting Policy 2022
  2. Register your unit under the policy and select the Freight Reimbursement component.
  3. Fill out the application form and attach required documents (see below).
  4. Submit. The nodal agency verifies eligibility and freight cost details, and issues a sanction / reimbursement order.

Option 3: Single Window / District Industry Office

  1. Submit the application via the district industry center or state single‐window system.
  2. The application is forwarded to the state nodal agency for review, approval and disbursement.
