One District One Product (ODOP) Training & Toolkit Distribution Scheme
The “One District One Product (Training & Toolkit Distribution) Scheme” is operated by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under the broader One District One Product (ODOP) Programme. The ODOP programme was launched in 2018 to promote unique local products in each district of Uttar Pradesh. This particular sub-scheme focuses on training artisans/entrepreneurs and distributing toolkits to equip the workforce. Its purpose is to strengthen the value-chain of district-specific products by building skills and providing tools, thus enabling you (as an MSME) to access better productivity and market opportunities.
Key Features
- 10-day free training: Selected persons will receive technical and entrepreneurship development training related to the product identified in their district.
- Daily stipend during training: During the 10-day training, the trainee receives an honorarium of ₹200 per day.
- Toolkit distribution post-training: Once training is completed, relevant advanced tool-kits are distributed free to eligible artisans/workers to help them undertake production.
- Non-residential training mode: The training under this scheme is non-residential (i.e., trainees do not stay at the training centre) ensuring minimal disruption to your business or craft.
- Focus on the value-chain of district-specific ODOP products: The scheme is tailored to the product identified under ODOP for that district, covering the full value-chain (raw material → manufacture → finishing → marketing).
